Modify General Journal

I want to be able to print journals straight from Quickbooks. At the moment whats printed can't be read because all the coloumns are to close together.

I've tried saving a modified tranasaction journal, but its not possible to change the journal number once its saved.

For audit purposes we need to have all our journals printed, and at the moment we have to manually do one in excel and it just seems a little backwards that you can't just print something straight from Quickbooks thats actually useful.

Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated.
